There are many roads and junctions one needs to navigate to make their way to a PhD. In this talk, I want to provide perspectives on how to explore different options to make your PhD experience enjoyable and will give you flexibility and opportunities beyond your dissertation. I will talk about lessons learned from navigating collaborations, working with industry, finding joy in side projects, and maybe things I would have personally done differently in retrospect.
